  • ​FOUNDED IN JANUARY 1960 BY A GROUP OF BRITISH WORKERS WHO HAD BROUGHT THEIR TALENTS and their families TO THE AMERICAN AUTO INDUSTRY. 


  • FIRST KNOWN AS “BRITONS IN AMERICA”.


  • MAY 1962 - THE GROUP WAS INCORPORATED AS A SOCIAL CLUB and Began MEETING AT THE CHRYSLER UNION HALL IN TWINSBURG, Ohio.            

 

  • FOR TEN YEARS THE CLUB CONTINUED TO MEET AND HOLD SOCIAL EVENTS AT THE CHRYSLER UNION HALL, AS WELL AS OTHER LOCAL VENUES.


  • In 1973 the PROPERTY AT '8564 RAVENNA ROAD IN TWINSBURG, Ohio' WAS PURCHASED.


  • VOLUNTEERS FROM THE MEMBERSHIP SPENT MANY MONTHS RENOVATING AND REFURBISHING THE BUILDINg.  A GRAND OPENING DANCE WAS HELD ON JULY 27, 1974, ATTENDED BY THE BRITISH CONSUL AND THE VICE-CONSUL.

  • NOVEMBER 1978 ​THE NAME OF THE CLUB WAS CHANGED TO BRITISH-AMERICAN CLUB, AND CONTINUES TO THIS DAY TO PROVIDE SOCIAL FELLOWSHIP TO BRITONS AND AMERICANS IN NORTHEAST OHIO.
